Great Gießen

Dennys Sawellion, president for Turngau Mittelhessen and sport and music teacher, is the main organizer of the National Danish Performance Teams visit in Gießen, Germany. With a crew of six people, Dennys Sawellion has arranged a stay, he hopes the team will never forget.

1000 tickets sold

Many people in Gießen already know about the team, and when the tickets were put for sale they quickly sold. Dennys has met some of the previous teams in Frankfurt and Germany at gymnastic festivals and the city always tries to get the team to Gießen:

“I want to share with the citizens of Gießen the experience of seeing a show with the National Danish Performance Team.”

A host they'll never forget

The stay in Gießen offers more than shows and workshops. The team has attended a party in crazy sunglasses, a reception with the mayor and is going on a canoe trip:

“We have planned this stay for about a half a year now. We have tried to plan as many different things as possible, while the team is here. We want to give the gymnasts a really good stay and be a host they will never forget.”

More than welt class gymnastics

Dennys want to achieve more with the visit than giving the town a fantastic gymnastic experience:

“A just as important part of the teams visit is the cultural exchange between the gymnasts, workshop participants and the audience. We know about Denmark, because it is so close to Germany, but we would like more Danes to visit out town and vice versa. We all have different perspectives and cultures and it’s very exiting to bring this exchange so close to our lives with a visit from the National Danish Performance Team.”
